COVID-19 (Coronavirus) - updated 3rd June 2020

At Click Book Stay, the health and safety of our guests, homeowners and staff is our number one priority.  We understand that in these uncertain times, there is a growing concern with regards to Coronavirus (Covid-19) and the potential impact on our lives.

The situation is changing daily and as such, we will continue to follow guidance from the Scottish and UK Government as well as take advice from Tourism Industry bodies such as the Association of Scotland's Self-Caterers (ASSC). As a result, this page will be monitored and reviewed regularly.

The re-opening of accommodation in Scotland is scheduled for Phase 3 of the Governments plan, (we're anticipating around 10th July based on the 3 weekly reviews).  In N.Ireland a re-opening date of 20th July has been given.

We will work to Government guidelines to assist in slowing down the spread of the virus, and as such, we will not be accepting any new bookings for stays prior to 10th July 2020 unless they are for essential workers (proof will be required).

For anyone with a booking who wishes to cancel, you may very well have travel insurance that will cover the stay. This may take the form of your own separate travel insurance policy, or be covered by your bank account benefits, and most credit card providers also include travel insurance as a standard benefit. Please check your policy now, and if you have cover, make a claim. We will happily provide an invoice or other evidence to support your claim.

Alternatively, in order to support our customers, we will be offering a change of dates or credit towards a future booking on bookings with an arrival up to the 10th July 2020.

Our amendment policy at this time is:

  • If you purchased your holiday prior to 16th March 2020 and are due to travel up to and including 10th July 2020 you can amend free of charge within the same property**
  • If you purchased your holiday from 16th March 2020 then our normal Terms and Conditions apply*
  • At least 48 hours' notice needs to be given

*Any increase in holiday cost may be charged
** Should your original property no longer be available, it will be possible to apply your credit to an alternative property within the Click Book Stay portfolio.

For visitors travelling from overseas, the UK Government now insist on a 14 day quarantine on arrival.  At this time we do not know what the implications are for Scotland but will provide further information as it becomes available.  It is also unknown at this time how long the quarantine is likely to be enforced for or whether any 'air bridge' agreements with other countries will be put in place.
