If you're looking for a coastal break for the whole family, then you should look no further than Fife. The Kingdom of Fife has so many seaside towns to choose from that you'll be spoilt for choice, but where should you visit first?

 


The East Neuk of Fife is very popular with walkers (dog and human) because of its breath-taking views over the Firth of Forth. Perhaps overlooked by tourists due to its proximity with Edinburgh, Fife is well worth a visit and you'll need more than a day to cover the area. Pittenweem

One of Scotland's few working fishing towns, Pittenweem is still abuzz with life from the boats sailing out for the daily catch every morning. This small town has links to a number of coastal walks, allowing you to see every view possible.

 

St Monan's

This idyllic coastal town is lined with charming painted houses and is conveniently placed on the Fife Coastal Path making it the perfect place for those who fancy a stroll. Pick the right spot to stay on your visit and you can grab some views from your bedroom, just like these ones seen from Harbour Heights.

 

Anstruther

Home of the famous Anstruther Fish Bar and Restaurant, but this harbour town is more than just this British classic. This popular town is also home of Scotland's Secret Bunker, just 3 miles north and rife with history about World War II. If you want something even quieter than this scenic town, then pop over to Cellardyke, a peaceful town that is sure to relax even the tensest of us.

This historic seaside town is lined with cobbled streets and steeped in the history of the Royal Burgh. Stroll along the harbour with an ice cream and take in the relaxing sea air. 

 

St Andrew's

Where Kate met Will, and husbands meet golf, St Andrew's is a beautiful historic town with a number of famous golf courses – should you fancy a couple of rounds. Apart from the sport, this famous town has a number of views that are worth writing home about.
