First Holiday Let Agency to gain REST Accreditation – Responsible, Ethical & Sustainable Tourism!
We are very proud to announce that Click Book Stay have become the first Holiday Lets Agency to have been awarded the REST Accreditation for Responsible, Ethical and Sustainable Tourism. REST is a quality grading scheme for tourism and hospitality businesses, measuring the responsibility, ethics and sustainability of their practices. The scheme is designed to objectively quantify each business’ commitment to the environment, their visitors, their staff and their suppliers.
As Scotland starts to plan for reopening, Staycations are expected to boom as many of us are desperate to get away for a few days for a change of scenery. Our research shows that people plan to holiday more locally, spending quality time with family and friends having missed the social connection over the past year, and they want to travel sustainably giving consideration to their environmental impact.
The Tourism Sector, like most, has been hit hard by restrictions and despite being closed for business for much of the past year, the Click Book Stay team have used the time wisely to further develop their service in line with their company values, in readiness for re-opening.
The core of our business has always been about offering clean, safe and welcoming holiday accommodation to our guests, and we decided to take that a step further and really show our commitment to not only this, but also give consideration to our environmental impact.
A new Premier Service has been introduced (covering Perthshire & Fife initially) offering a Sustainable Full-Service Management solution that includes green cleaning, green laundry, eco-friendly amenity supplies, and 24/7 guest support. We believe many people will be anxious about getting away for the first time again after all the restrictions, so we want to make sure we are doing everything to take away the hassle and give confidence to both visitors and local communities alike, that they are in safe hands!
We’ve spent time implementing new systems to help ensure standards are kept consistently high, we’ve established partnerships with new suppliers, all of which have the same sustainability goals as ourselves, and we’re introducing environmentally friendly, eco products into the homes too including chemical free cleaning products. We’re very excited to have been awarded the REST accreditation as a result of this.
We’re really looking forward to welcoming guests again. We believe staying in holiday let accommodation (short term rental) is a perfect choice as it not only gives flexibility in terms of being able to eat in / cook (especially as hospitality starts to re-open) but it also gives guests control over their surroundings and who enters as they are booking an entire property for themselves. We want to encourage people to staycation, we’ve got some fantastic scenery on our doorsteps and you don’t have to travel far to see it, but at the same time we want to encourage people to travel responsibly; shopping and supporting the local communities where they are visiting and making sure they’re leaving no trace by taking away their rubbish when they leave.
If you’d like to find out more about our new service levels for property owners, or if you’re simply looking to get away for a break and want to have the peace of mind that you’re booking a safe, clean and welcoming accommodation, please get in touch with us at: firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone: 01738 506 211 and we’ll be happy to help!Back to all news
