Northern Ireland is a country, or province, located on the northeast of the island of Ireland and part of the United Kingdom.
Also referred to as ‘Ulster, this small country with a population of around 1.8 milion offers a big welcome to it’s visitors. Since the Good Friday agreement 1998 was signed, Northern Ireland turned an important corner and the “troubles” have been pushed into the past!
As well as magnificent scenery, there’s plenty to see and do across the region and good food and ‘craic’ (fun) to enjoy. You’ll find that traditions and culture run deep here!
The province is divided into 6 counties; Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Derry/Londonderry and Tyrone.
