For those who love a spot of golf, the East Neuk of Fife is the perfect place to be. Located centrally to a number of Scotland's famous golf courses including St Andrew's Old Course, Leven Links and Anstruther Golf Course.

The property draws its name from the restored features of a Bakers Oven and Well in the spacious living area. Bakerswell House is a historic property that has been renovated to a high standard with a contemporary finish. The stunning design offers a sleek look which is perfect for every taste. Local Area LOCAL AREA

The house is situated in Cellardyke which is part of the scenic town of Anstruther, there are a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants there. Anstruther is also home to the Scottish Fisheries Museum and, from the harbour, boat trips can be taken for sea angling or sightseeing to various areas of interest such as the Isle of May, a famous nature reserve where you can see puffins! The area is renowned for attracting artists and musicians with open studios and musical events happening throughout the year. For the more active there are the Tennis Courts, Elie Watersports Centre (sailing and generally messing about on the water) and the East Neuk Outdoors Centre (canoeing, abseiling etc) and there are also links directly into the Fife Coastal path offering walking opportunities across a wider area. For the keen golfer, Fife is the home of golf and the Anstruther golf course voted toughest par 3 in the UK by Todays Golfer in September 2007. If that's not enough there are another 45 courses a short drive away, including the infamous Old Course at St Andrews.

Highly Recommend!

We highly recommend this place! Great location, clean, spacious and lovely decoration. Perfect for big groups. Communication with the host is excellent.

"Excellent and Problem-free"

We very much enjoyed our week at Bakerswell House. The design and layout were excellent and we found the house spotless on arrival. An initial query about the central heating timer was quickly answered and we had no other issues during our stay. We appreciated the welcome pack which saved us having to go out to buy coffee, tea, milk etc on arrival. A few more pots and pans (eg frying pan and steamer) would be useful, particularly if catering for a large number (there were only 5 of us!). We may well consider a return visit some time. Your own booking and administration were also excellent and problem-free.

"Ticks all the boxes!"

Really great place to stay. Clean, spacious, ticks all the boxes! There are lots of nice places to eat nearby and it's only a short 20 min drive to St Andrews.
