This characterful apartment is right in the heart of Edinburgh city centre, located just off the Royal Mile, meaning that everything Edinburgh has to offer is literally on your doorstep. Catch a street performer, trawl your way through the cities countless traditional pubs, or climb to the top of Arthur's Seat and have a panoramic view of Scotland's capital city. There is something going on all year round in Scotland's capital. 

The period features throughout the property will transport you back to a different time, and the wood features throughout add to the traditional design. The serene lounge offers a range of entertainment with digital TV, iPod docking station, and Wifi, so if you prefer an evening in you'll be more than catered for. Retire to bed in one of the apartments relaxing bedrooms, one double, one twin. If you choose to cook for yourself, the well-equipped kitchen/dining room has everything you need to showcase your cooking skills, and a large dining table that seats upto eight people if you're really showing off. Watch the hustle and bustle of passers-by on the Royal Mile from the ample window seats encased by period shutters. It's easy to step out of the front door and straight into the constant buzz of Edinburgh's most popular streets. You are in the thick of all the action here and you would be hard pushed to find a better spot than this. 

Please note: This is a 3rd floor apartment and there is no lift in the building. No Stag/Hen or Party groups will be accepted. Sofa bed suitable for 1 guest only.

High Street Apartment is situated in 'The Old Town' of Edinburgh, which consists of the main street, the Royal Mile, and a number of small alleyways and courtyards that lead off it to the north and south. One end of the Royal Mile is the Castle itself and to the other end is Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Parliament building all within an easy stroll from the apartment. There are numerous bars, cafes, restaurants and specialty shops all along the Royal Mile - so plenty to do just walking up and down this street.

This is also the main area for The Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August, as all acts will congregate here to showcase their shows. Off the Royal Mile, you can walk down the Mound leading down into Princes Street and to the New Town of Edinburgh -  no more than a 10-15 minute walk. However, if you want to escape the shopping and activity - 10 minutes in the opposite direction will take you past the National Museum and on to The Meadows which is a great park and worth a visit to get a different view of the City. 

Parking: The owner has a free parking space which is a 15-minute walk from the apartment if required. 

The best way to get around Edinburgh is by foot, though there are plenty of buses - Lothian Regional Transport (LRT) which operate frequently throughout the city and you can catch close by on either street crossing the Royal Mile.

“Simply fantastic!!"

The accommodation is a perfect location right in the middle of the royal mile and within easy walking distance of old town, castle, new town, Grassmarket, Holyroodhouse and so on. Having the parking space is a real benefit, we unloaded the car, parked the car and then walked everywhere. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean, lots of room and we were provided with a thoughtful welcome pack. Lovely to sit in the windows and watch the world go by. The owner was very quick to respond to our emails. This was a truly 5* stay!!”

Booking Terms 

25% deposit is required to secure the dates with the balance due 6 weeks prior to arrival. Where a booking is made within 6 weeks of arrival then full payment will be required at the time of booking. We accept most forms of payment including bank transfer; all major credit cards and UK issued debit cards. Rental is inclusive of linen and towels, as well as utilities (gas and electricity) unless otherwise stated on the individual property adverts. Fair usage policy applies. All breakages are chargeable. Click Book Stay have the right to charge a fully refundable security deposit.

Cancellation Policy

Once a booking deposit has been paid and the booking confirmed in writing, the Tenant is liable for the whole amount of the rent for the period booked. 

Any cancellations must be made in writing and acknowledged by us.

In the event of a cancellation, the following charges will apply:

  • If notice of cancellation is given more than 6 weeks before your arrival date, 25% of the total tariff is non-refundable
  • If notice of cancellation is given at least 6 weeks prior and no less than 2 weeks of your arrival date, then 50% of the total tariff is retained.
  • Less than 2 weeks notice the full tariff is non-refundable.
  • Where we are successful in securing a new booking, a refund for any dates re-let will be provided.  An admin fee of £50 may apply to cover costs incurred in processing the booking and cancellation.

    Should a booking have to be cancelled as a result of Government Order, Direction or Advice or a Change in Law, excluding weather-related advice, all monies paid less a £50 admin fee will be refunded. Cancellations for any other reason will be subject to our standard cancellation terms.
*Please note, bookings made for our properties via a third party website if cancelled, the refund given will be monies received by Click Book Stay and will not include any additional booking fees/services charges applied by the third party site.

Holiday/Cancellation Insurance

Once booked, the Tenant is liable for the complete Property rental costs.  As such, it is strongly recommended that the Tenant take out suitable holiday/cancellation insurance to cover costs incurred by unexpected holiday cancellation. Booking Protect, which is a cancellation policy, is offered as an option at the time of booking via the Click Book Stay website.  Booking Protect is an independent company and not in any way related to Click Book Stay. (Please note, this section applies to bookings made prior to 27th March 2020).
