Property DetailsPROPERTY DETAILS

Crail's history most notably begins in 1310 when Robert the Bruce made Crail a Royal Burgh. Today, Crail is the oldest Royal Burgh in Fife and, from St. Mary's mythical Blue Stane to the Tollbooth gaol, it's easy to see why this popular East Neuk Village is ideal for groups of friends and families of all ages. If you're looking to travel further afield, St. Andrews, with its famous university and legendary golf courses is only a 15-minute drive away. If golf isn't your thing, then check out the Fife Coastal Path which is rich with scenic routes around Scotland East Coast.

This cosy cottage comprises of a ground floor entrance hall leading to the open plan lounge/dining area & kitchen, which is perfect for entertaining if you happen to have a friends visit during your stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven & gas hob, fridge & freezer box, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, kettle and cooking utensils.  There is also a WC on the ground floor. Upstairs you will find a cosy double bedroom along with the main bathroom.
There is no garden at Stoney Creek, however, there is a small open courtyard set back from the road (not secluded) which the owners have right of access to.  There is a table and chairs in the cupboard in the house that can be used to sit outside beside the front door on a nice evening (please remember to put these back indoors and not leave them outside overnight).  Please note that the wall to the main road is quite low and therefore a dog may be able climb/jump over it.

The area stretching out onto Roome Bay, Crail boasts blue flag sandy beaches, coastal walks, a beautiful stone harbour and quality shellfish.

Local Area LOCAL AREA

You can't visit the East Neuk of Fife without visiting all the coastal towns that are dotted along Scotland's coastline. Many of these towns still have working harbours for you to watch the boats come in and all of them have views over the sea that are perfect for catching the sunset. Head North to St Andrew's and work on your golfing skills or, if you're feeling a bit peckish, go straight down to Anstruther and grab a fish supper from the famous Anstruther Fish Bar, home to (probably) the best Fish and Chips in the UK!
