Stoney Creek is a pet friendly fishermans cottage that comprises of a ground floor entrance hall leading to the open plan lounge/dining area & kitchen, perfect for entertaining. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven & gas hob, fridge & freezer box, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, kettle and cooking utensils. The dining table seats four guests. There is also a pull out sofa bed in the lounge area and also a ground floor WC. Upstairs there is a spacious double bedroom with double and additional pull out single bed, along with the main bathroom. For convenience, just around the corner are the local shops including a co-op, cafes, and a few pubs.

Parking - There is no allocated parking spaces at the property.  However there is free on street parking and you normally find plenty of space opposite the property.



This compact roomy cottage is in the heart of Crail, Stretching out onto Roome Bay, Crail boasts blue flag sandy beaches, coastal walks, a beautiful stone harbour and quality shellfish. The history of this little town most notably began in 1310 when Robert the Bruce made Crail a Royal Burgh. Today, Crail is the oldest Royal Burgh in Fife and, from St. Mary's mythical Blue Stane to the Tollbooth gaol, it's easy to see why this popular East Neuk Village is ideal for groups of friends and families of all ages. Just make sure you're tucked up in bed before the Old Town Clock strikes at Crail's 10pm curfew! If you're looking to travel further afield, St. Andrews, with its famous university and legendary golf courses are only a 15 minute drive away. We liked the property, generally comfortable and a good position in the town for shops, bus stop and pub!
It was a bit disappointing that we couldn’t sit outside with a cup of tea when we got back in the afternoons - especially as we had such good weather.
However we realise that is not something that you can do anything about.
There was a shortage of storage in the bedroom, there is one cupboard with the water tank in it with a very tiny rail for hanging maybe four hangers maximum and the rest of the cupboard is full of bags of bedding.
A chest of drawers for clothes would have meant we didn’t literally live out of the suitcases on the bedroom floor. We also missed the wifi, checking places to visit, opening times and bus timetables is so much easier with wifi than over the data service on the mobile phones.
The property was clean and tidy when we went in and ready for us on time. We would use Click Book Stay again.

"Great, cosy cottage"

very centrally located with excellent facilities. Useful having a downstairs toilet as my mobility is currently not great. Crail is very close to St Andrews and Anstruther. Highly recommend this property.

Booking Terms 25% deposit is required to secure the dates with the balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival. Where a booking is made within 8 weeks of arrival then full payment will be required at the time of booking. We accept most forms of payment including bank transfer; all major credit cards and UK issued debit cards. Rental is inclusive of linen and towels, as well as utilities (gas and electricity) unless otherwise stated on the individual property adverts. Fair usage policy applies. All breakages are chargeable. Click Book Stay have the right to charge a fully refundable security deposit.

Cancellation Policy - Once a booking deposit has been paid and the booking confirmed in writing, the Tenant is liable for the whole amount of the rent for the period booked.  Any cancellations must be made in writing and acknowledged by us. 

In the event of a cancellation, the following charges will apply:

  • If notice of cancellation is given more than 8 weeks before your arrival date, 25% of the total tariff is non-refundable
  • If notice of cancellation is given with less than 8 weeks of your arrival date, the full amount is payable.

 Holiday / Cancellation Insurance. Once booked, the Tenant is liable for the complete Property rental costs. As such, it is strongly recommended that the Tenant take out suitable holiday / cancellation insurance to cover costs incurred by unexpected holiday cancellation.  Booking Protect, which is a cancellation policy, is offered as an option at the time of booking via the TS Holiday Lets website.  Booking Protect is an independent company and not in any way related to TS Holiday Lets.
