Blair Atholl is a beautiful village at the base of the Scottish Highlands which offers scenic views and puts you within a comfortable distance of all the area has to offer. Pay a visit to the idyllic town of Pitlochry or take a long hike on Schiehallion, which boasts breathtaking views over Loch Tummel and the Rannoch Moor towards Glencoe. However you choose to relax in this peaceful retreat, you are sure to be refreshed by the end of your visit.

The Corner House is charmingly traditional and situated within the picturesque village of Blair Atholl. It is the perfect base for exploring the local area and offers a comfortable place to put your feet up after a long day of taking it all in. This cosy country cottage offers spacious living areas for the whole family, an atmospheric wood burner for cold nights, and a beautifully landscaped garden, with BBQ, to enjoy the sunshine during the summer months. 
Please note that The Corner House is an old stone house in the Cairngorms and as such, can be cold during the autumn/winter period, however, this should not be a problem as a brand new oil fired central heating system along with high quality radiators have recently been installed in the property (January 2020), ensuring guests are kept cosy whatever the weather.  You'll feel right at home in this property and quickly forget the stresses of a busy city life!   

NB: The two main public rooms have an open fire and wood burner stove.  


Please note - one well-behaved dog (no cats) is welcome in the downstairs of the property by prior agreement - charges apply. 



 

Local Area LOCAL AREA

Set amidst the beautiful Perthshire countryside near Blair Atholl offers a wide range of outdoor activities available in and around the area including walking, fishing, bowling, golfing and horse riding. If you fancy going further afield Pitlochry is about 15 minutes away, and Perth is about 50 minutes offering even more restaurants and activities.  

Blair Atholl is spoilt with a great selection of eateries within walking distance of the cottage, There is a train station for those of you who wish to leave the car at home, a local golf course, and of course not forgetting the magnificent Blair Castle the seat of the Dukes of Atholl and home to the Atholl Highlanders, Britain's only private army. With some thirty treasure-filled rooms to see, extensive parklands - including Diana's Grove and the restored Hercules Garden - woodland and riverside walks, restaurant and gift shop, Blair Castle makes an ideal day out for all the family.  Whether you are an adrenaline junkie looking for your next thrill or someone who enjoys more leisurely pursuits. A host of outdoor activities can be found close by, from relaxed fishing on the lochs and rivers to mountain biking, canyoning, Munro-bagging, or a gentle stroll and many more between. 

Let’s not forget about golf of course! Blair Atholl Golf Club is only 5 minutes walk from the cottage, however, if you want to venture a little further afield, you are rewarded with a multitude of courses to choose from. In Perthshire alone, there are 33 golf courses, including the world famous Gleneagles. Should you wish to visit the home of golf, St Andrews, this can be reached in around 1.5 hours.

"Lovely Cottage & Comfortable"


Lovely cottage in the village. Close to Blair Castle and local restaurant. Beds were comfortable and property well kitted out which included a coffee machine. Log burner in lounge heats the house nicely but the remaining heating system is dated. Apparently this is getting replaced soon which will make this lovely house even better.

"Great Location & Spacious"


Stayed for a 3 night weekend. Great location on the main road and right next door to the parc royale caravan park which has a cosy swimming pool and hot tub that the kids love, great walk up and down the road to the church across the road where a gate at the back takes you through the woods to an old bridge and flowing river which was great for walking the dog, lots of sheep and cows. The house is spacious with a lovely open fire in the dining room and log burner in the living room, the tv has built in Netflix which kept the kids entertained at night. Blair atholl is also a fab place the atholl arms pub is a warm friendly place where dogs are welcome, all in all very enjoyable stay x

Terms & Conditions BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

Booking Terms 

25% deposit is required to secure the dates with the balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival. Where a booking is made within 8 weeks of arrival then full payment will be required at the time of booking. We accept most forms of payment including bank transfer; all major credit cards and UK issued debit cards. Rental is inclusive of linen and towels, as well as utilities (gas and electricity) unless otherwise stated on the individual property adverts. Fair usage policy applies. All breakages are chargeable. Click Book Stay have the right to charge a fully refundable security deposit.

Cancellation Policy

Once a booking deposit has been paid and the booking confirmed in writing, the Tenant is liable for the whole amount of the rent for the period booked. 

Any cancellations must be made in writing and acknowledged by us.

**FOR BOOKINGS MADE UP UNTIL 27TH MARCH 2020, THE FOLLOWING CANCELLATION POLICY APPLIES;

  • If notice of cancellation is given more than 8 weeks before your arrival date, 25% of the total tariff is non-refundable
  • If notice of cancellation is given with less than 8 weeks of your arrival date, the full amount is payable.

**FOR NEW BOOKINGS MADE AFTER 27TH MARCH 2020, THE FOLLOWING CANCELLATION POLICY APPLIES;
  • If notice of cancellation is given between 2 - 60 days before your arrival date, the accommodation fee will be fully refunded no questions asked.  Any refunds will be payable at the arrival date.  
  • If notice of cancellation is given with less than 2 days of your arrival dates, the full amount is payable.
*Please note, bookings made for our properties via a third party website if cancelled, the refund given will be monies received by Click Book Stay and will not include any additional booking fees/services charges applied by the third party site.

Holiday/Cancellation Insurance

Once booked, the Tenant is liable for the complete Property rental costs.  As such, it is strongly recommended that the Tenant take out suitable holiday/cancellation insurance to cover costs incurred by unexpected holiday cancellation. Booking Protect, which is a cancellation policy, is offered as an option at the time of booking via the Click Book Stay website.  Booking Protect is an independent company and not in any way related to Click Book Stay. (Please note, this section applies to bookings made prior to 27th March 2020).
