Bakerswell House

Accommodation: Bakerswell House is centrally located and just a short walk from the picturesque harbours of both Anstruther and Cellardyke, the House has an interesting history and has recently been renovated to provide stunning, spacious accommodation.

The large living room with the feature Bakers Oven and The Well - hence the name - provides a comfortable space to chill out, watch TV or just relax and warm your toes with the under floor heating. French doors open out onto a courtyard which is linked to the upper deck and garden by an external staircase. The lounge is also linked directly to the 33ft (10m) long, stunning, sun drenched kitchen/dining room via an internal spiral staircase. The kitchen is well equipped with an American style fridge freezer, range cooker, microwave and dishwasher, ample work surfaces and additional breakfast bar. The separate dining area with oak table seats 10 people. In addition, there is an informal seating area, perfect for pre-dinner drinks. Leading out from the dining area, through French doors, is a sheltered, fully enclosed, furnished sun deck and raised garden. Utility room provides a storage area for golf clubs, beach toys, coats and boots.

The property sleeps 10 in 5 bedrooms. One on the ground floor with an adjacent wc, 2 bedrooms on the second floor one en-suite, and one with adjacent shower room. On the third floor we have the final 2 bedrooms one with ensuite bathroom and the other having access to a further bathroom.

Parking: There is on-street parking nearby to the property

Accessibility: The house is on three levels, so not suited to people with mobility issues

Pets: Maximum of 2 dogs are allowed at an additional fee of £15 each (must request).

Area: The town of Anstruther (which includes Cellardyke) has a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants. Anstruther is home to the Scottish Fisheries Museum and, from the harbour, boat trips can be taken for sea angling or sightseeing to various areas of interest such as the Isle of May, a famous nature reserve where you can see puffins! The area is renowned for attracting artists and musicians with open studio and musical events happening throughout the year. For the more active there are the Tennis Courts, Elie Watersports Centre (sailing and generally messing about on the water) and the East Neuk Outdoors Centre (canoeing, abseiling etc) and there are also links directly into the Fife Coastal path offering walking opportunities across a wider area.

For the keen golfer, Fife is the home of golf and the Anstruther golf course voted toughest par 3 in the UK by Todays Golfer in September 2007. If that's not enough there are another 45 courses a short drive away, including the famous Old Golf Course at St Andrews.

Booking Terms
25% deposit is required to secure the dates with the balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival. Where a booking is made within 8 weeks of arrival then full payment will be required at the time of booking. We accept most forms of payment including bank transfer; all major credit cards and UK issued debit cards. Rental is inclusive of linen and towels, as well as utilities (gas and electricity) unless otherwise stated on the individual property adverts. Fair usage policy applies. All breakages are chargeable. Click Book Stay have the right to charge a fully refundable security deposit.

Cancellation Policy
Once a booking deposit has been paid and the booking confirmed in writing, the Tenant is liable for the whole amount of the rent for the period booked.
Any cancellations must be made in writing and acknowledged by us.

**FOR BOOKINGS MADE UP UNTIL 27TH MARCH 2020, THE FOLLOWING CANCELLATION POLICY APPLIES;
If notice of cancellation is given more than 8 weeks before your arrival date, 25% of the total tariff is non-refundable
If notice of cancellation is given with less than 8 weeks of your arrival date, the full amount is payable.

**FOR NEW BOOKINGS MADE AFTER 27TH MARCH 2020, THE FOLLOWING CANCELLATION POLICY APPLIES;
If notice of cancellation is given between 2 - 60 days before your arrival date, the accommodation fee will be fully refunded no questions asked. Any refunds will be payable at the arrival date.
If notice of cancellation is given with less than 2 days of your arrival dates, the full amount is payable.
*Please note, bookings made for our properties via a third party website if cancelled, the refund given will be monies received by Click Book Stay and will not include any additional booking fees/services charges applied by the third party site.

Holiday/Cancellation Insurance
Once booked, the Tenant is liable for the complete Property rental costs. As such, it is strongly recommended that the Tenant take out suitable holiday/cancellation insurance to cover costs incurred by unexpected holiday cancellation. Booking Protect, which is a cancellation policy, is offered as an option at the time of booking via the Click Book Stay website. Booking Protect is an independent company and not in any way related to Click Book Stay. (Please note, this section applies to bookings made prior to 27th March 2020).
