Area Gulabin House is ideally located for exploring Perthshire and the Cairngorms National Park at any time of the year. Winter guests can experience the Glenshee ski area, which is located just a couple of miles away and which benefits from artificial snow-making facilities. The ski season usually runs from mid-December to early April. Gulabin has its own ski and board hire shop on site, with connections to a ski school that offers tuition for all levels of ability.

The Cateran Trail is a waymarked 63-mile circular trail that passes close to the House. It follows ancient tracks and old drove roads through the stunning glens of the surrounding area. The section close to the House is beautiful and provides opportunities for “out-and-back” walks that most people can enjoy comfortably.

Golfers can enjoy the short-game practice area and 6-hole putting green at Strathmore Golf Centre, which is just a few minutes’ drive from the House. The more experienced player has the option of Blairgowrie Golf Club with its Rosemount and Lansdowne 18-hole courses.
