Property Details

Ideal for solo travellers or couples, Stoney Creek Cottage is located in the heart of the coastal village of Crail, close to St Andrews, Anstruther, Pittenweem, St Monans & Elie. It is within walking distance of the beach and one of the best-preserved and most photographed stone harbours; as well as the oldest classic links golf course in Fife, local shops, galleries, cafes, bank and a pottery shop.

This pet-friendly holiday cottage was refurbished in 2021 with a new luxury en-suite shower room and is available all year round on a holiday let basis for stays of 3 nights or more. Wheter you enjoy a round of golf, walking, watersports or relaxing on the beach, there's plenty to keep you occupied nearby.

Accommodation is set over 2 floors and comprises;
-Ground floor entrance hall leading to the open plan lounge/dining area & kitchen, which is perfect for entertaining.
-Well stocked kitchen with oven & gas hob, fridge & freezer box, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, kettle and cooking utensils ... there's even a Nespresso coffee machine and a dining table and chairs to sit and enjoy your meal (or coffee!).
-Ground floor WC.
-Upstairs, there is a spacious double bedroom with king-size bed and seating
-Luxury shower room with large shower, WC & wash hand basin
- Central heating throughout

The property is set up to ensure a comfortable cosy stay even if the weather turns cold. The lounge area has plenty of seating and there's a little electric stove. There's a smart TV with access to BBC iPlayer and Netflix for free & WiFi which is suitable for WhatsApp, Emails and Social Media (please note, it is not suitable for streaming videos, TV or playing online games)

Although the property welcomes a well behaved pet, there is no garden at Stoney Creek, however, there is a small open courtyard set back from the road which the owners have right of access to. There is a table and chairs in the cupboard in the house that can be used to sit outside on a nice evening (please remember to put these back in the evening and not leave them outside). There is a wall to the main road, but please note this is low enough for a dog to climb/jump over.

* Sleeps 2
* Allows one dog on request (there is a small additional fee)

Location

Area Stretching out onto Roome Bay, Crail boasts blue flag sandy beaches, coastal walks, a beautiful stone harbour and quality shellfish.
Crail's history most notably begins in 1310 when Robert the Bruce made Crail a Royal Burgh. Today, Crail is the oldest Royal Burgh in Fife and, from St. Mary's mythical Blue Stane to the Tollbooth gaol, it's easy to see why this popular East Neuk Village is ideal for groups of friends and families of all ages. Just make sure you're tucked up in bed before the Old Town Clock strikes at Crail's 10pm curfew!

If you're looking to travel further afield, St. Andrews, with its famous university and legendary golf courses is only a 15 minute drive away.
